Taylor Rouse of Spencer donated four braids of her formerly long hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially-disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss Tuesday afternoon.
While it marked the Spencer High School freshman's second time donating hair to the organization -- the first time was three years ago as a sixth grade student -- this donation was done to honor the memory of Jeff Franker, an uncle who passed away on Dec. 23, 2006 after battling pancreatic cancer.
Rouse trusted Sam Madison of Design Masters to cut her locks as her mother, Cleone, and younger sister, Jaden, watched and snapped pictures of the event.
