Burning of the Greens drop of locations announced

Drop-off points have been designated for Christmas trees donated for the University of Okoboji Winter Games "Burning of the Greens." These trucks will be in place Christmas Eve for those dismantling their trees immediately after Christmas.

Trailers will be provided by Polaris Industries in Spirit Lake at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds near the Community Building and in the Arnolds Park Amusement Park parking lot. Klaussner Furniture will provide a trailer at the Milford City Maintenance Building.

Tom Kuhlman, executive vice president of the Chamber said, "The trees are a very important part of the U of O Winter Games. We appreciate the public's generosity with their trees and greenery. When they drop off their trees, we'd like to have them placed as far forward in the truck as possible."

The trees will be used for the "Burning of the Greens" on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 in conjunction with the 29th Annual University of Okoboji Winter Games.
