Funeral services for Lowene Gray, 85 of Fostoria will be held at 10:30 a.m., today, Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. Rev. Brent Lingle will officiate the service.

Interment will take place at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Lowene passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 at Spencer Hospital.

Lowene Belva Gray, the daughter of David and Ilo (Watson) Brallier, was born on June 12, 1923 in Greenville. She received her early education in Greenville and then attended and graduated from high school in Lake Center, south of Terril.

On Nov. 28, 1942, Lowene married Richard Gray in Spencer. Following their marriage, the couple lived in the communities of Ruthven, Royal, and Graettinger before moving to Spencer in 1963. Lowene worked as a waitress at Mathison's and then she was a bookkeeper at Spencer Truck Line in which they owned and operated. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic and a Women's Bowling League.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Joshua Galm; two brothers: Keith and Fred Brallier; and two sons-in-law,: Terry Galm and Doug Lachner.

Lowene is survived by her husband, Richard Gray of Fostoria; her children: Sharon Ann Lachner Burgeson and her husband, Richard of Milford, Richard David Gray and his wife, Monika of Dickens, Janet Marie Galm of Royal, and Terry John Gray and his wife, Lori of Arnolds Park; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Maurine Willard of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Norene Broadie and her husband, Bob of Ruthven.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
