Arnold Motor Supply and community team up to help Spencer High Band

The Spencer Tiger High School Band is a bit closer to its fundraising goal for a trip to Florida next month thanks to some help from the community and Arnold Motor Supply.

Spencer's Arnold Motor Supply Store Manager, Grant Schenk presented the $565 check donation to Spencer High School Band Director, Kurt Schwarck. The band helped collect recycled battery cores from Arnold Motor Supply customers recently. Over 100 old batteries were donated to the effort, with Arnold Motor Supply contributing $5 per battery to the band's fundraising efforts.

The band members helped carry the batteries and sort them.

"This was a great chance for people to get rid of their old batteries and help the band at the same time," Schenk said. "We are proud to help."

The Merrill Company and Arnold Motor Supply are part of The Arnold Group of Companies, with 35 Arnold Motor Supply automotive parts stores in Iowa and Minnesota.
