ARRESTS

* Cole Lawman, 39, Spencer was charged with public intoxication at 10:28 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, in the 400 block First Avenue East. He was transported to Spencer Police Department, processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.


* Ryan Noethe, 31, Spencer, was charged with public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:29 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 in the 500 block of East First Street. He was transported to Spencer Police Department and turned over to the Clay County Jailer.


*Isra Brooks, 22 , Spencer, was taken into custody on two Clay County warrants on Sunday, Oct. 12, at the Spencer Police Department. He was placed in the Clay County Jail.


* Kirk Crosby, 36, Spirit Lake, was charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief at 12:38 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the Clay County Jail, 409 First Avenue West, in Spencer. A Clay County deputy received a complaint from the on-duty jailer that an intoxicated inmate had damaged jail property. Upon arrival to the jail, it was found that Kirk Crosby had damaged a mattress. Crosby was cited and released back into the jail.


* A Clay County deputy on patrol at 9:22 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, stopped a vehicle on 270th Avenue at 438th Street in Clay County for a traffic violation. The Deputy recognized the passenger as 27-year-old Aaron Steelman of Underwood, N.D., and ran a warrant check on him.

The deputy was advised that Steelman had two warrants out of O'Brien County for arrest on previous operating while intoxicated and driving while barred violations. The deputy then tried to identify the second occupant in the vehicle.

During a search, a second deputy located drug paraphernalia on 18-year-old Dakota Gallant Of Underwood, N.D. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.

Steelman was transported to O'Brien County and released. The second occupant was taken to the Clay County jail were he was booked into jail. During the booking process a deputy located an ID card which gave a different name and date of birth than what Gallant had given the deputy during the traffic stop. He was then charged with interference with official acts and held on a $300 cash bond.


* Shane Zellaha, 46, Spencer, was taken into custody at his residence on a civil warrant at noon Monday, Oct. 20. He was transported, processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.


* Dennis Steffens, 64, Spencer, was taken into custody at 9:24 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Spencer Police Department for two Dickinson County arrest warrants and one O'Brien County arrest warrant. He was later transported to Dickinson County.


* Rita Keene, 33, Spencer, was arrested for third-degree burglary at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the 200 block of 11th Street Southwest. She was accused of entering a motor vehicle unlawfully and was transported to the Spencer Police Department. She processed and turned over to Clay County jailer.


* Wendy Mae Ahlrichs, 31, Royal was charged with contempt of court at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the 100 block of East 11th Street in Spencer. She had two warrants for failing to appear on previous criminal charges of interference with official acts and driving under suspension. She was released on $650 bond.


* Cory Luong Baccam, 19, Spencer, was taken in on a probation revocation at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in Spencer. He was served with a civil paper and deputy was aware of an active Clay County arrest warrant. Baccam was transported to the Clay County jail.


* Nathan Rosacker, 26, Dickens, was taken in on an arrest warrant for the illegal purchase of pseudoephedrine at 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at his residence near Dickens. He posted a $248 cash bond and was released with a pending court date.


* Anthony Knapp, 23, Spencer, was arrested in the 400 block of Grand Avenue at 12:02 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, on a Cherokee County warrant. He was transported to Spencer Police Department, processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.


* Israel Garner, 35, Spencer and Nicholas Steffen, 31, Spencer, were charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct at 1:28 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in the 600 block of Grand Avenue. They were transported to Spencer Police Department, processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.


* Devon Sawyer, 25, Lenox, was charged with public intoxication at 1:46 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, near First Avenue East and East 18th Street. He was transported to Spencer Police Department, processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.


* A 15-year-old Spencer male was charged with public intoxication, possession of tobacco, curfew violation at 3:22 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in the 1700 block of Fourth Avenue West. He was brought to the Spencer Police Department, processed and released to parents.


* Michael Haroldson, 27, Spencer, was charged with public intoxication at 1:17 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in the 600 block of Grand Avenue. He was transported to Spencer Police Department, processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.


* A 17-year-old Paullina female was charged with fifth-degree theft at 7:33 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Wal-Mart. She was taken to Spencer Police Department, processed and released to parents.


* Michael Donald Stevens, 28, Royal, was taken in on a Buena Vista County arrest warrant at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the 200 block of West Sixth Street in Spencer. He was held on a $2,500 bond. He was also taken into custody at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at his residence on an Ida County warrant for probation violation.


* Lee Rae Geisinger, 22, Spencer, was taken in on a Pocahontas County warrant for first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree burglary at 3:26 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the 300 block of West 18th Street. Bond was set at $25,000. He was also wanted on a warrant from Buena Vista County for third-degree burglary and probation violation. He was transported to Clay County Jail without incident.


* Nicholas Klatt, 29, Harris, was charged with assault on peace officer, interference with official acts and public intoxication at 11:24 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in the 10 block of Grand Avenue. He was transported to the Clay County Jail


*Nathan Blanchard, 32, Spencer and Imadeen Whitebuffalo, 32, Spencer, were charged with public intoxication at 2:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the 100 block of West Seventh Street. They were both transported to the Clay County Jail.


* Valerie Loerch, 46, Milford, and David Hughes, 44, Spirit Lake, were charged with possession controlled substance (marijuana) and possession drug paraphernalia at 11:13 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, in the 2600 block of Highway Boulevard. They were both transported to the Clay County Jail.


* Kira Lord, 19, Spencer, was charged with assault at 3:47 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in the 200 block of East Ninth Street. She was transported to Spencer Police Department and later released on police citation.


* Shane Bendlin, 38, Spencer, was charged with disturbing the peace at 11:33 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in the 100 block of East Park Street. He was transported to the Spencer Police Department.


* Omasan McCarthy, 24, Spencer, was charged with possession with the intent to deliver controlled substance and failure to affix drug tax stamp at 11:38 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the 1300 block of First Avenue West. Jordan Krile Sassman, 22, Spencer, also was arrested for possession controlled substance and possession drug paraphernalia. They were both transported to the Spencer Police Department, processed and turned over to the Clay County Jailer.


* Chariti Mae Hollesen, 32, Spencer, was taken into custody at her residence on a Clay County warrant for fifth-degree theft. She was transported to the Spencer Police Department, processed, and turned over to the Clay County Jailer.


* Jesse Ray Yeager, 28, Spencer was arrested at 3:23 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, after turning himself in to the Spencer Police Department on a Clay County warrant for disorderly conduct. He was processed, posted bond and was released.


* Kevin Willeford, 17, Spencer, was charged with distributing a prescription drug to a minor at 9:11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, in the 200 block of 11th Street Southwest. He was brought to the Spencer Police Department, processed and later released to parent.


* Caleb Brewer, 22, Spencer, was charged with providing alcohol to persons under the legal age at 4:16 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in the 500 block of 11th Street Southwest. He was brought to the Spencer Police Department, processed and turned over to the Clay County Jailer.


* Kyle Gustin, 22, Estherville, was taken in on an arrest warrant on the original charge of fifth-degree theft at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Terril. He was transported to the Clay County Jail without incident on a $500 cash only bond.


* Deputies charged 20-year-old Ler Taw of Worthington, Minn., with excessive speed and a .02 violation at 4 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, near Highway 71 and 360th Street. A Clay County Deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for excessive speed. After speaking with the Taw, the deputy believed he had been drinking and was under the age of 21. Taw was taken to the Clay County jail were it was determined that Taw was under the legal limit of .08. Taw was administratively cited for the .02 violation and was released with no criminal charges. Taw was cited for excessive speed, 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.
