Services for Florence A. Woolston, 92, of Spencer, formerly of Sutherland, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 at Maple Grove Church in Sutherland. Rev. Michael Hyde will officiate the service.

There will be no visitation.

Interment will take place at Waterman Cemetery in Sutherland.

Florence passed away in her sleep on Nov. 16, 2008 at the Longhouse Nursing Home in Spencer.

Florence A. Woolston, daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Burgeson, was born on Jan. 21, 1916, in Peterson. She graduated from the Peterson schools.

She was united in marriage to J. Clair Woolston on Feb. 21, 1935, at the Methodist Church in Peterson. They were blessed with two sons, Ronald and Kenneth. The made their home on the family farm northeast of Sutherland for over 50 years, where their love of the land was shown by the fact that they were the third generation of the Woolston family to live there. Florence served at Maple Grove Church of God playing the piano and organ and teaching Sunday school for many years. She also was a nurse's aid for several years at the Hartley Hospital.

Florence is survived by her son, Ronald; Ken's wife, Evelyn; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Nelda Baker; and sister-in-law, Irma Burgeson.

Arrangements are being handled by Warner Funeral Home of Sutherland.
