Festival offers early dose of the Christmas spirit

The fourth annual Festival of Trees sponsored by the Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation provided the necessary holiday kick-off atmosphere for the large numbers of families who stopped by to enjoy the collection of decorated Christmas trees, bid on some auction items, and allow the children an opportunity to spend the morning with the Clauses and some local elves. (Right) Three-year-old Kaitlynn Lawson gives Santa a great big hug after sharing some special holiday secrets. (Below right) Elves took part in several activities including Karaoke, dancing and crafts; and (Below left) Mrs. Claus spent some of her time in Spencer Saturday reading to several large groups of children.
