Funeral services for Mr. Roger "Tuffy" Beck, 64 of Spencer will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday with the family present from 4-6 p.m. at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Interment will take place at Dickens Cemetery in Dickens.

Roger passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at Spencer Hospital.

Roger Dean "Tuffy" Beck, the son of Robert E. and Dorothy Taylor Beck, was born May 7, 1944 in Spencer. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his education.

He was united in marriage to Doris Nissen in 1976 and has since resided in Spencer. Roger worked for Spencer Foods for several years, but was more recently employed as a city sanitation driver in Spencer for more than 20 years. Roger was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary of Spencer and worked as a security guard at the Clay County Fair.

He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents.

Roger is survived by his mother, Dorothy Beck of Spencer; two daughters: Jeree and Alice Beck; one grandson; one brother, Larry Beck and his wife, Christine; and two sisters: Norma Jean Patten and her husband, Steve and Beverly Beck -- all of Spencer.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
