Everly November Fest will feature German cuisine and loads of fun

Wednesday, November 12, 2008
The Everly Quasquicentennial Committee will host November Fest on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Hap Ketelsen community Center on Main Street Everly. Food will be served from 6-8 p.m. featuring brats and kraut, German roast, German bean and sausage soup, hot German potato salad and baked pretzels.

Following the meal, an auction will be held featuring the following items: Maverick carving, Hope Chest, Redlin print, mantel clock, large Community Christmas stocking filled with goodies, and more. If you wish to donate an item or items for the auction, please contact Janice Thompson at City Hall, 834-2691. Also, a proxy bid can be arranged with Janice if you are unable to be present that night.

Available for sale that evening as well will be many, many souvenir items such as t-shirts, caps, cards, Christmas ornaments, Cattlefeeder and Maverick crocks, Speltz prints, limited numbers of centennial church plates and belt buckles, as well as several pieces of pottery. And, don't forget "A Taste of Everly" cookbooks will also be available that night. All of these items would make super Christmas gifts.

The evening of fun will be rounded out by a dance commencing at approximately 8:30 p.m. with the band, "Buck Fever" featuring Karl Brandt of Everly as well as Clark Marshall, Darrel Stave, Phil Christy and Joe Johnson. They will play lots of 50's and 60's music for your listening and dancing pleasure.

SEEMS TO ME, THIS MONTH OLD EVENT THAT IS OVER AND FORGOTEN SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THIS NEWSPAPER PAGE.
