Hans Krogh, 80, of Spirit Lake, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at his farm.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Turner Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Rev. David Cox will officiate the 2 p.m. service.

Hans LeRoy Krogh, the son of Lars and Sophie (Peterson) Krogh, was born Feb. 2, 1928, in Maple Hill. He attended Maple Hill School.

Hans served his country in the U.S. Army for three years until being honorably discharged. He was united in marriage to Rae Krogh.

Hans farmed and raised cattle until his retirement. He lived in Spirit Lake and Laughlin, Nev. He enjoyed motorcycles, music, going to dances, casinos, gardening, social events and meeting with friends.

Mr. Krogh was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Taulbee; and his former wife, Rae Krogh.

Hans Krogh is survived by his two daughters: Susan Chapman and her husband, Dan, of Milford, and Kathryn Sebby and her husband, Dwayne, of Spencer; three grandchildren: Dan Wilson, Skyler Sebby and Mashell Sebby; one brother, Nels Krogh, and his wife, Margie, of Spencer; one sister, Viola Nordblad, and her husband, Art, of West Okoboji; other relatives and friends.
