Spirit shown in Homecoming '08

Homecoming took Spencer High School senior students back to their former elementary buildings early Friday afternoon. (1) At Fairview, football players Aaron Spaw, left, and Sean Elliott ate lunch with kindergarten student Cayle Carter, who dressed up as a Spencer cheerleader.(2) Following lunch, a game of football was played among Fairview students and SHS senior players, from left, Aaron Spaw, Sean Elliott, Shane Hessenius, Brian Davis and Andrew Claus on the school's playground. The SHS Fieldhouse was filled with music and dancing Friday afternoon as 13 talent show acts displayed their talents. (3) SHS student council members began the afternoon's acts with a choreographed dance to "Eye of the Tiger." (4) After an ensuing pep rally brought everybody gathered in the fieldhouse to their feet, (5) a tug of war between SHS classes had the juniors outpulling the seniors. Participants, from right, included: SHS senior Blake Viedenkamp, Josh Bubke, Jordan Rasmussen, Alex Rosado, Cort Silliman and James Randall.
