The Rebels moved back to within two games of .500, improving to 12-14 with a 25-21, 25-18, 25-10.
"We won, but did not play like we can play. We'll blame it on homecoming," said Sioux Central head coach Sue Mattson.
Brooke Scharn led Sioux Central at the net offensively, going 31-for-35 in hitting with 15 kills, but Mattson said the Rebels were lacking at the net on the defensive side.
"We usually blocked pretty strong, but not tonight," Mattson said. "We did not serve our normal game either."
Despite the team serving less than 85 percent, three Rebels helped pace the winning effort at the service line. Brady Rebhuhn had six aces and was 18-of-22, Brittny Rebhuhn was 17-of-18 with three aces and Grace Rehnstrom was 15-of-15 with one ace.
