Members of the Spencer Daybreakers club spent Thursday afternoon picking apples at Ocheda Orchard in Worthington. Their anticipated haul of 5,000 pounds of Honeycrisp, Connell Red, Harlson and Regent apples will be available for purchase tomorrow during the Daybreakers' annual apple sale, which is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. Saturday at the K-Cafe Daybreakers stand on the Clay County fairgrounds. Don Wilson, Joe Skow, Duaine Holck, Tom Maertens and Chuck Pohar, from left, are among the Daybreakers members who picked the sacks of apples they hope to move this weekend. Proceeds from the club's 29th annual apple sale will assist families of children with severe medical problems.
