Spencer added two more pool wins to its resume Thursday in Storm Lake on the campus of Buena Vista University, winning all but one even title in a combined double dual with the host Tornadoes and Algona.

"We put the girls in a couple different events that they haven't swam yet," Spencer head coach Katie Tanner said of Thursday's meet. "It was nice to get those times to see if anybody needs to be moved around at all."

The Tigers won 10-of-11 events against Storm Lake and all 11 against the Bulldogs, beating Storm Lake 69-25 and topping Algona 80-10.

Spencer posted eight runner-up efforts against Algona, and added seven against Storm Lake.

"We stayed pretty consistent with our times," Tanner said after watching her Tigers swim two meets in three days. "Usually it's nice to have two meets in the same week because it gives the girls something to work for."

Erin Rossiter and Hollee Mohni each won four events Thursday. The duo teamed up in a pair of wins, taking first with Kalei Roskins and Hannah Cacek in the first event of the night, the 200-yard Medley Relay, in a time of 2-minutes, 12.75 seconds. Rossiter, Mohni, Cacek and Suzanne Rettey capped off the night with a victory in the 400 Freestyle Relay.

Rossiter added wins in the 100 Backstroke and the 200 Individual Medley; Mohni won the 100 Freestyle and the 200 Freestyle Relay with Roskins, Rettey and freshman Ann Magnuson.

In addition to the event-titile sweeps, Tanner said Rettey offered a standout performance. The sophomore added a win in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:14.91.

"We put her in that race and she did well. We're looking for some girls to step up in the freestyle events. We need that," Tanner said.

Rettey, Roskins and Cacek each claimed three wins, Magnuson had a pair with a victory in the 100 Butterfly and Sam Brigham won the 500 Freestyle.

Spencer improves to 4-1 in duals on the season. The Tigers will swim at Fort Dodge Tuesday.
