Don Tscherter of Sioux Rapids has received the Iowa Lions Foundation Warren Coleman Honorary Award in recognition for his commitment to serving Lionism.
The award is named for longtime Executive Secretary-Treasurer Warren Coleman, who has given freely of his time and dedication to the Iowa Lions Foundation and the programs which it supports. This award is conferred on persons who demonstrate community service, and can only be made possible by a contribution of $1,000 to the Iowa Lions Foundation.
Tscherter is a member of the Peterson Lions Club. He recently received an appropriately designed plaque and a lapel pin acknowledging his humanitarian service.
The Iowa Lions are part of the world's largest serving organization numbering more than 1.2 million members in over 200 countries and geographic areas.
