Former Spencer resident publishes children's book

(Photo submitted) PublishAmerica is releasing "Kaycee Kangaroo Lost in Alphabet Forest: Adventures of Kaycee Kangaroo" by Angela Tonderum, a former Spencer resident.

Angela Tonderum, a former Spencer resident, has released her first book.

PublishAmerica is releasing "Kaycee Kangaroo Lost in Alphabet Forest: Adventures of Kaycee Kangaroo" by Tonderum who now lives in Box Elder, S.D.

This book was inspired by her middle child, Kaycee, and the childish mischief that she gets into. Kaycee Kangaroo gets lost in Alphabet Forest after playing a chasing game with Randy Rabbit, and the letters of the alphabet help her find her way home. This is book one in a series about Kaycee Kangaroo.

This marks the first book Angela has had published, and she indicated that she is currently working on the next book in the Kaycee Kangeroo series.

Angela, born in Cedar Rapids in 1974, graduated from Estherville High in 1992. Married husband Shane Tonderum in 1994 in Terril. The couple lived around the Spencer and Estherville areas their entire married lives before moving to South Dakota in 2003. She worked for the Spencer Police Department in 2002-03.
