Roberta Margaret Rouse

Roberta Margaret Rouse, the daughter of Joseph L. and Margaret Reynolds Graham, was born Oct. 2, 1933, in Milford. Her childhood years were spent in Milford where she received her education, graduating from Milford High School. After high school, she attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she received her teaching degree. She taught adult education at Caly Trade School in Los Angeles, Calif., for a period of time. She also worked for the Herald Examiner in California.

Roberta married Jerome W. Picket and following their divorce, married R. Carl Bol. They moved to Spencer where she worked for Northwestern Bell for 10 years. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Spencer. Roberta was also a secretary of the AARP, a member of the FOE "Eagles" Club, and a past President of the Legion Auxiliary.

Following her divorce from Robert, she married Donald Rouse on May 6, 1994, in Canton, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and third husband; and one sister, Connie Coe.

Roberta is survived by her children: Sheila Steece and her husband, Larry of Spencer, Robert "Curt" Bol of Glendale, Ariz., and Crystal Hoffman and her husband, Jeff of Sioux Rapids; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, James Graham of Brownsville, Texas; and one sister, Judy Peterson and her husband, Ron of Edmond, Okla.

Arrangements were handled by Warner Funeral Home of Spencer.
