Teachers, administrators, volunteers and residents expect a fun, memorable and safe experience during Clay Central-Everly's 2008 homecoming celebrations, which will begin Monday, Sept. 22 and last through Friday, Sept. 26.
School-sponsored activities during homecoming week include theme days in the school buildings, sports activities and the annual homecoming coronation at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24 in Everly's old gymnasium.
The homecoming celebration for all students and CCE alumni will culminate on Friday, Sept. 26. Following an afternoon of events, the 7:30 p.m. homecoming football game will pit the Mavericks against the Newell-Fonda Mustangs. A homecoming dance will then have past and present high school students and their dates dancing the night away to music played by "A Sound Choice" of Spirit Lake in Everly's old gym.
