PELLA -- Spencer graduate Beth Druvenga, the daughter of Arv and Kathy Druvenga, will compete for the Central College women's tennis team this fall. Druvenga, a 2008 alumna, started for head coach Brett Groen and the Tigers' girls tennis team for the past three seasons, earning Lakes Conference honors in doubles play as a junior.

Druvenga is one of 15 Iowa women who will play for Central -- the only one coming out of northwest Iowa.

The Dutch return five letterwinners from a team that posted an 11-4 dual record last season, and finished third at the Iowa Conference tournament. Under second-year coach Bryan Mours, Central will look to repeat upon a successful 16th-place ranking in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Central Region.
