Funeral services for Mr. Lee Lorenz, 93, of Milford, formerly of Spencer, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Chuck Kellogg will officiate the service.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

Lee passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at home in Milford.

Lee Ostrom Lorenz, the son of John Joseph and Lillie Elizabeth Ostrom, was born Sept. 26, 1914, in Clay County. His childhood years were spent in the Langdon and Dickens area where he received his education in country schools.

Lee married Gertrude Sorenson on Feb. 21, 1939, at his parent's home farm north of Langdon. Throughout their married life, they farmed in Clay County. In their later years, they retired and moved to Wahpeton. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. Lee loved to farm and he was a workaholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Ted, George and Jim; and a sister, Mary.

Lee is survived by his wife, Gertrude of Wahpeton; two sons: Tom Lorenz and wife, Judi of Spencer; and John and Karen Lorenz of Helena, Mont.; five grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
