New Spencer Community School District staff met with administrators and board members Tuesday noon. While all district staff will begin preparations for the upcoming school year on Thursday, Aug. 14 with a 7:30 a.m. welcoming breakfast at the Spencer Middle School building and ensuing inservice sessions, 2008-09 classes will commence for Spencer High School and Spencer Middle School students on Tuesday, Aug. 19. Spencer elementary students will mark a day of parent-teacher conferences that day and officially begin classes for the new school year on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
