Funeral services for Myron "Popps" Voss, 76, of Spencer, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 12 p.m., Sunday with the family present from 3-5 p.m. at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Interment will take place at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Myron passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Myron "Popps" Samuel Voss, the son of Samuel and Wanda (Steffenhagen) Voss, was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Sibley. As a child, he lived in Rapid City, S.D., before moving to Ocheydan, with his family when he was 11 years old. It was there that he received his education, graduating from Ocheyedan High School.

After graduation Myron entered the military in 1951. On May 21, 1953, he was united in marriage to Margaret Ginger in Langdon. Following his honorable discharge from the military in 1955, they moved to Spencer where he drove truck. In 1961, they moved to Rapid City before returning to Spencer in December of 1978.

Myron was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., and D.A.V.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one nephew, Brian Brehmer.

Myron is survived by his wife, Margaret Voss of Spencer; three daughters: Marleen Voss of Spencer, Martha Killmer and husband, Randy of Spencer, and Mary Pollock of Fostoria; two sons: Merle Voss of South Weber, Utah, and Marlin Voss and wife, Linda of Fostoria; one brother, Ray Voss and wife, Beverly of Spirit Lake; one sister, Marlys Brehmer of Ocheydan; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
