Funeral services for Erik Anderson, 42, of Spencer, will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008 at Living Word Church in Spencer. Rev. Alan Dean will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Living Word Church.

Interment will take place at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove, Minn. Funeral services will also be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 11 at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

Erik passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at home in Spencer.

Erik Donn Anderson, the son of Don and Helen Anderson, was born Nov. 22, 1965. His childhood years were spent in Walnut Grove and Windom, Minn., as well as Emmetsburg and Spencer, where he received his education. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College for Law Enforcement. He was a reserve police officer and last worked in Barncroft. He earned several special endorsements in law enforcement and he loved to protect and serve.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides; and two infant sisters.

Erik is survived by his parents, Don and Helen Anderson of Spencer; a sister, Brady Jo Hare of Spencer; and a brother, Tony Anderson and wife, Teri of Orange City.

Warner Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
