The Spencer Ambassadors visited the new location of Audio Video Connection, and met with owner Randy Swanson. Swanson, who ran the business for 11 years at his South Grand Avenue location, moved to the downtown district, operating now out of the former Northwest Aging building, directly south of the Spencer Fire Department. Swanson, with some help, renovated and remodeled the building, turning it into a showroom for his various kitchen and living appliance center, along with his various entertainment offerings - including home movie theaters, televisions, stereo systems for cars and homes and others. One of the biggest reasons for the move was to get everything on one floor so customers would not need to use stairs to see the store's offerings. Swanson said that he will enjoy a special relationship with his new neighbors, Specialty Woodworks, originally from Everly, which recently relocated to the adjoining building. The two businesses will leave a door open between for a shared customer base. Swanson said that traffic has continued to increase since his move downtown.
