| Pam Rutter and Gail Aalberts are new additions to the YMCA Preschool program. |
The local YMCA has also added to its staff recently. Pam Rutter has been hired as the new Preschool Teacher, replacing Marlis Kuiper who retired after 26 years with the Spencer Family YMCA. Pam graduated with a BA in Elementary Education and endorsements in reading, Early Childhood and Instructional Strategist1: Mild/Moderate. Pam and her husband, Ryan, have four children. Pam's philosophy on teaching, "the impact that teachers can have on children is amazing to me. I am honored to be a part of the lives of young children where I can have a positive and encouraging relationship with them. I am looking forward to getting to know and work with everyone."
Also joining Pam in the Preschool Program is Gail Aalberts, who has lived in Spencer over the past 13 and a half years with her husband, Dave and three children. Gail's children all attended the YMCA Preschool and she has wonderful memories of their years here.
"I am thrilled to be walking back into this facility as a Preschool Teacher's Aide already knowing I, as well as my boys, had a great experience here and that excites me for the many other parents who will bring their children here for a great experience too."
