The Spencer Family YMCA hosted its annual summertime carnival Friday, offering all Spencer kids in kindergarten through sixth grades a variety of activities and games. Everything from competing in minnow races (above) to blowing up a balloon, as Kenny Rasch is doing (below), offered the participants plenty to do. The event, associated with the city's Neighborhood Playground Program, sold tickets for 10 cents each, with all money raised going toward World Service, which raises awareness of and financial support for the work of the global YMCA movement.
