Memorial services for Dale Luetkeman, 63, of Aurelia, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at the St. John's Church, rural Peterson. Rev. Michael Hyde will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the St. John's Church rural Peterson.
Dale passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his farm home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Dale Leonard Luetkeman was born Nov. 19, 1944, in Aurelia, the son of Leonard and Mabel (Amendt) Luetkeman. Dale attended Brooke Consolidated School and graduated from the Aurelia High School in 1962. He then attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, graduating in 1966. Dale taught from 1966 to 1969 at Milford Community High School. He then returned home and farmed the family farm until his retirement in 2005. He married Alexandra Ross Watt Henaman on Aug. 29, 1992, at St. John's Church, rural Peterson.
Dale was a life long member of the St. John's Church, serving on several boards.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dale is survived by his wife, Alex Luetkeman of Aurelia; one brother, Don Luetkeman and his wife, Judy of Cherokee; and one sister, Lorraine K. Lee of Dumfries, Va.
Memorials may be given to the St. John's Church Perpetual Fund.
The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is in charge of arrangements.
