The Primghar Fire Department was called out at 12:23 a.m. Wednesday to the Pride Group Home, which is at 6059 390th Street and east of Primghar.
The fire began in the center part of a storage building. It is believed a liquid accelerant was used to start the fire.
Pride Group Home spokeswoman Eunice Wilson told reporters someone saw flames coming from the shed and reported the fire. Firefighters said the shed was "fully involved" in fire by the time they arrived.
A male resident of the group home for adults was burned, transported to Primghar Hospital by ambulance and then air-lifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
His condition is not known as of Thursday, according to a statement from the O'Brien County Sheriff's Office. Wilson also said no information about the man was being released.
Deputies are prepared to file second-degree arson charges against a male subject. The investigation is ongoing.
