Carissa, left, and Connor, right, pose next to their handmade sign that says it all - "Change a Life." Donate to the Red Cross today by sponsoring a Swim-A-Cross Swimmer. The two are taking Red Cross swim lessons at the Spencer Aquatics Center, thanks to the City of Spencer, which sponsors the classes. This year, all swimmers have a chance to participate in the Swim-A-Cross which is sponsored by Pizza Ranch and the Iowa Great Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross. Swimmers are encouraged to ask for donations which go to the Iowa Great Lakes Chapter of the Red Cross to assist with the needs of local individuals. Carissa and Connor stood in front of their home on the west side of Spencer Saturday with this sign asking passersby to stop and donate funds. Collections continue through Thursday, July 10.
