ARRESTS

* Cory Runkle, 25, Spencer, and John Patrick Higgins, 46, Milford were charged with disorderly conduct at 8:24 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of First Avenue East. They were transported to Clay County Jail.

* Benjamin Schroeder, 26, Spencer, was charged with domestic assault at 4:39 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Second Street. He was transported to the Clay County Jail.

* Corey Climer, 19 , Spencer, was arrested in the 10 block of Parkway Drive on a Clay County warrant. He was transported to Clay County Jail, posted bond and was released.

* Jose Gonzalez-Arevalo, 22, Spencer, was charged with driving while intoxicated and no drivers license Monday, following a traffic stop in the 4700 block of Highway 71.

* Justin McClain, 18, Sheldon, was charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated, driving under suspension, no proof of insurance and failure to dim headlamps at 4:38 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Highway 18. He was held in jail to appear before a magistrate.

* Beverly Wantlad, 44, Everly, was charged with driving under suspension and no insurance at 5:06 a.m. Friday at the Green Plains Grain Co-op parking lot in Everly. She was held in jail to appear before a magistrate.

* Thomas Kinart, 45, Missouri Valley, was charged with second-offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belts at 11:45 a.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Highway 71. He was taken to jail and released on bond.

* Mark Alan Mulder, 21, Hull, was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to report an accident at about 5 a.m. Sunday, June 15, and was arrested at the Clay County Jail. Mulder suffered a minor injury and left the scene of an accident without reporting the incident. An investigation by the Clay County Sheriff's Office determined Mulder was the driver and responsible for damage to Iowa DOT property.

* Kevin Carrillo, 22, Spencer, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors at 2:43 a.m. Friday, June 13, in the 1400 block of Fourth Avenue Southwest. Jayden Haviland, 19, Spencer, and Alexander Rayner, 18, Royal were charged with possession of alcohol under the legal age at the location.

* Manuel Martinez, 25, Spencer, was charged with operating while intoxicated, attempting to elude and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 300 block of Fourth Avenue West. He was placed in Clay County Jail.

* Kristine Rons, 41, Spencer, was charged with serving alcohol after hours at The Eagles at 3:31 a.m. Saturday, June 14. She was processed and released on citation.

* Carmen Tuttle, 52, Paullina, was charged with fifth-degree theft at 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, at Wal-Mart. She was processed and released on citation.

* Constance Englert, 52, Spencer, was charged with operating while intoxicated at 5:02 p.m. Friday, June 13, in the 300 block of 10th Street Southwest. She was processed and placed in Clay County Jail.

* Robert Norman, 37, Spencer, was charged with discharging illegal fireworks at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, June 12, in the 1200 block of McNaughton Way. He was processed and released on citation.

* Liana Quail, 17, Spencer, was charged with disorderly conduct at 10:57 p.m. Thursday, June 12, in the 500 block of Grand Avenue. She was processed and released to parents.

* Brianna Laubenthal, 18, Spencer, was arrested at 10:13 a.m. Friday, June 13, on a warrant from Emmet County for harassment. She was processed and turned over to jailer.

* Clemente Calles Trujillo, 33, Spencer, was charged with disorderly conduct and interference with official acts at 3:52 a.m. Sunday, June 15, in the 300 block of West Fourth Street. He was processed and placed in the Clay County Jail.

* Jennifer Cowell, 21, Spencer, was charged with providing alcohol to minors. Ashley Salberg, 18, Spencer, Danica Thomy, 18, Spencer, and Jonathon Koenig, 19, Spencer, were all charged with possession alcohol under legal age. They were processed and released on police citations.

* Lee Geisinger, 22, Algona, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. Saturday, June 14, in the 600 block of Grand Avenue on a warrant from Pocahontas County for third-degree burglary and criminal mischief. He was transported to Pocahontas County.

* Kylie Marble, 19, Spencer, was charged with animal at large at 5:31 a.m. Monday, June 16. She was placed in Clay County Jail.

* Kelly Paul, 37, Hartley, was charged with operating while intoxicated at 6:36 p.m. Thursday, June 12, near 190th Avenue and Highway 18. She was processed and placed in the Clay County Jail. Paul was also charged with public intoxication at 7:05 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Fourth Street Southeast. She was processed and placed in the Clay County Jail.

* Robin Barnes, 43 , Spencer, was arrested at 10:03 a.m. June 10 at her residence on a warrant from California for parole violation. She was placed in Clay County Jail.

* Chad Holey, 30, Spencer, arrested at his residence on June 9 on a Clay County warrant for contempt of court. He was turned over to Clay County Jailer.

Christopher Marble, 20, Spencer, arrested at 11:41 a.m., June 10, at his residence on a Clay County warrant for assault & willful injury. This is in reference to an incident reported on June 5. He was processed and placed in the Clay County Jail.

* Blanca Juarez-Aguilar, 31, Spencer was charged with failure to have a drivers license and no proof of insurance at 10:56 p.m. Wednesday, June 18. Juarez-Aguilar was released on bond.

* Wesley Lloyd, 18, Spencer, was cited for lighting fireworks at 4 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of West First Street in Spencer. He was released with a court date.

* Andrew Wimmer, 19, Spencer, was charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated at 3:05 a.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of Highway 71. He was transported to Clay County Jail without incident.

* Omar Acosta-Ruiz, 22, Spencer, was charged with driving while revoked, failure to file S.R. insurance and for no proof of insurance at 11:08 p.m. Sunday, June 15, in the 200 block of West Third Street. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

ACCIDENTS

* Cynthia Schwarz, 49, Paola, Kan. was traveling at 2:57 a.m. Friday in the 2500 block of Highway 18 when her 2005 Honda struck a deer, which had entered the roadway. Damage is estimated at $3,000.

* A single-car crash has led to charges against a Spencer man. Deputies think Dane Kramer, 20, Spencer, was driving recklessly when he rolled his 1994 Toyota at 6:49 a.m. Sunday near Greenville. He was charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated and failure to maintain control. Kramer sustained minor abrasions, but refused medical treatment. The Toyota is a total loss. He was placed in Clay County Jail.

* Leah Flarharty, 17, of rural Clay County, was westbound on 280th Street when she lost control of her vehicle at about 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 11. The vehicle went into the north ditch were it struck a utility pole. Flarharty had two other passengers at the time. No injuries were reported. The utility pole was broken in half and Iowa Lakes Electric was notified and replaced the pole. Road conditions and driver error were factors for the accident. Her 1999 Pontiac sustained $4,000 damage.

* Ervin Asbury, 51, Circleville, Ohio, pulled around to the south side of Monterrey's Mexican restaurant at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, when he struck a dumpster with the right side of his trailer. He continued westbound, causing the dumpster to strike a large used oil container. The container was pushed into a walk-in freezer. No damage was reported to the 2005 Volvo semi truck and trailer. The freezer sustained $1,000 damage.
