Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Bussell, 92, of Spencer, will be held at 2 p.m., today, Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Tonna Parsons will officiate the service.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place at Liberty Cemetery of Greenville.

Dorothy passed away Monday, June 16, 2008, at Longhouse Residence of Spencer.

Dorothy Evelyn Bussell, the daughter of Frederick and Esther (Bartlett) Luft, was born July 27, 1915, in Osceola, Neb. She attended Elementary and High School in Shelby and Clarks, Neb. She graduated from Clarks High School in Clarks, Neb., in 1933.

Dorothy worked in a Furniture Store in Albion, Neb., before marrying Joseph Bussell on Nov. 5, 1943, in Albion, Neb. Following their marriage, they moved to the Rossie and Greenville area where she lived the rest of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; one sister; one brother; and daughter-in-law, Helen.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons: Kendall of Bethel Island, Calif., and Kirby and his wife, Penny of Spencer; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and two sisters: Opal Scarlett and her husband, Robert of Albion, Neb., and Gladys Jackson of McPhearson, Kansas.

The family would like to invite everyone to the Congregational Church in Greenville for a luncheon following the graveside service.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
