Visitation for Francis will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday, June 13 with a Parish Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Ruthven.
Frannie passed Monday, June 9, 2008, at his home in Ruthven.
Francis P. Langdeaux, son of James and Lucy (Black Bird) Langdeaux, was born Sept. 24, 1933, in Rose Bud, S.D. He began his education in country schools in South Dakota and then attended Catholic school.
On Sept. 7, 1954, Frannie was united in marriage to Louella Anderson in Burke, South Dakota. To this union two daughters were born.
Frannie was raised on a farm in South Dakota. As a young man he began working construction which he continued for 40 years. Thirty-five of those years were spent as a heavy equipment operator for Van Buskirk Construction out of Sioux City. Frannie retired 10 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Lawrence, Clarence, Howard, Earl and Melvin Langdeaux; and a sister, Marie Layh.
Francis is survived by his wife, Lou of Ruthven; his children: Janet Langdeaux of Spencer, and Cindy of Washington; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Arrangements are being handled by Martin-Mattice Funeral Home.
