* A 17-year-old male from Spencer was charged with driving while barred and violation of a graduated driver's license at 2:35 a.m. Monday near the intersection of 100th Avenue and 330th Street. Upon further investigation, open containers of alcohol were found in the vehicle. Richard Sloan Sr. and Robert Rausch were both cited for having an open container as a passenger in a car and were released. A third passenger, Brandy Chapman, was cited for no seat belt. The juvenile male was released to the custody of his parents.

* Geoffrey Allen Maurer, 34, Glenwood, was stopped for an equipment violation and charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated at 9:43 p.m. Friday along the frontage road near Cindy's Steakhouse in Spencer. He was held in jail to appear before a magistrate.

* Madison Marie Selzer, 20, Spencer, was charged with driving while suspended, speeding, no insurance and possession of alcohol under the legal age at 11:53 p.m. Friday in the 4600 block of Highway 71. When a deputy stopped the Selzer vehicle for speeding he noticed a beer can being thrown out of the vehicle as it pulled over. The passenger, Cassandra Lynn Mingus, 20, was cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age, open container and littering on a Highway. Selzer was held to appear before a magistrate.

* Jose Cruz Rodriguez, 31, Spencer, was charged with no driver's license and no proof of insurance at 6:26 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, in the 4000 block of Highway 71. He was released on bond.

* Kurt Cipale, 38, Des Moines, was charged with driving while revoked at 10:26 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Highway 71. He was released on bond.

* Mark Douglas Walter, 57, Spencer, was charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated, open container, no insurance and expired registration at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, in the 2500 block of 340th Street. He was placed in the Clay County Jail.

* Daniel Lee Meister, 24, Spencer, was arrested 3:11 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of East 13th Street on the charges of domestic abuse assault, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, possession drug paraphernalia & possession controlled substance. He was processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.

* Michael Ziegmann, 34, Spencer, was charged with driving while barred at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of East 11th Street. He was processed and turned over to Clay county Jailer.

* Angela Derry, 42, Spencer, was charged with fifth-degree theft and public intoxication at 8:22 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West Seventh Street. She was processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.

* Kylie Marble, 19, Spencer, received three citations for dog at large at 5:39 p.m. Saturday. She was processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.

* Gilberto Martinez Vargas, 39, Spencer, was charged with public intoxication at 2:26 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Second Avenue West. He was processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.

* Heather Thomas, 20, Spencer, was taken in on an arrest warrant for an Osceola County probation violation at 10:29 p.m. Thursday, May 29, in the 700 block of First Avenue West. She posted bond and was released.

* Shelby Ehrig, 18, Spencer, was charged with public intoxication and possession of alcohol under the legal age at 5:49 a.m. Thursday, May 29, in the 4300 block of Highway Boulevard. She was processed and turned over to the Clay County Jailer.

* Jerad Archer, 18, Spencer, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Plaza Street on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was processed and turned over to Clay County Jailer.
