Daniel Messer and Rachel Newkirk

Rachel Newkirk and Daniel Messer were united in marriage on April 5, 2008, at the Everly United Methodist Church.

Newkirk, the daughter of Randy and Rita Newkirk, of Everly, is employed at Bomgaars in Spirit Lake.

Messer, the son of Marvin Messer and John and Sandy Bubbers, all of Morristown, S.D., is employed at Pure Fishing in Spirit Lake and raising hogs.

The couple will be renewing their wedding vows on Aug. 2, 2008, at the Everly United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow at the Hap Ketelsen Center.

The couple is making their home on a farm near Spirit Lake.
