"We're here to appreciate you for the thankless job you do," Tom Nelson told the volunteer board members. Following a discussion about the hours it takes to be a board member, the school district's budget and continued declining student enrollment numbers, the board was recognized with certificates. School Board Appreciation Week was designated nationally May 11-17.
