Michella Koppen (second from right), coordinator of Early Head Start's "The Nest" program accepted a $750 contribution from the Spencer After 5 Kiwanis Club which will go towards funding the program. The Nest is a federally funded program that rewards families with birth to three-year old children who do the right things when it comes to caring for their children, and providing a healthy, nurturing and loving environment for the children to grow in. The families build up points and with those points, they can purchase from "The Nest" boutique a variety of items from toiletries to car seats.
