An investigation conducted by the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force in December led to an arrest over the weekend.
Deputies charged 32-year-old Chad Hinners with delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a Class C felony. He was located in the 100 block of West Fifth Street at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Spencer.
Hinners was wanted on an outstanding arrest stemming from the felony charge. He was held in jail to appear before a magistrate.
Intoxicated passenger faces charges
Deputies say 21-year-old Joseph Daggett of Sibley was getting a ride back to Hartley when the other occupants apparently grew tired of their vomiting, abusive and pants-less companion.
They stopped the vehicle in the 3100 block of 180th Avenue. That's where deputies found Daggett standing next to the car in his underwear.
He apparently assaulted two female occupants in the car, vomited on his pants, took them off, got back into the car and vomited again.
He was charged with simple assault for his aggression against the other passengers. He was also charged with public intoxication at 2:45 a.m. Saturday.
Daggett was then taken into custody and transported to the Clay County jail. The Spencer Police Department assisted at the scene.
