Services for Todd E. Hersleff, 55, of Ruthven, will be held at 10:30 a.m., today, Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ruthven. Rev. Luther Thoresen will officiate the service.

Interment will take place at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake.

Todd passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home in Ruthven.

Todd Elliot Hersleff, son of Alan and Sylvia (Olson) Hersleff, was born May 13, 1952, in Estherville. He graduated from Graettinger High School in 1970.

On June 30, 1979, Todd was united in marriage to Jacky Blankenburg at Zion Lutheran Church in Ruthven. To this union two children were born, Josh and Krystle.

Todd was employed at Eaton's in Spencer for 25 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Ducks Unlimited.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Hersleff; and a niece, Darci Hersleff.

Todd is survived by his wife, Jacky of Ruthven; his children, Josh Hersleff of Ruthven, and Krystle Hersleff of Spencer; three grandchildren; his mother and step father, Sylvia and Bill Graves of Cedar Falls; brothers: Kim of Houston, Texas, Kirby and his wife, Chris of Swea City, and Perry and his wife, Elin of Forest City; sister, Cindy James and her husband, Randy of Graettinger; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charly and Erin Blankenburg of Fort Dodge, Tracy and Terry Kinnetz of Spirit Lake, Pam and Sam Wedeking of Spirit Lake, and Sandy Turnquist of Hartley.

Arrangements are being handled by Martin-Mattice Funeral Home.
