Services for Mr. Robert Rosberg, 78, of Montevideo, Minn., formerly of Everly, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2008, at Warner Funeral Home of Everly. Rev. Lauren Ley will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly.

Interment will take place at Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly.

Military services will be conducted by Everett Boyles Jr. Post No. 414 of Everly.

Robert passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.

A lunch and time of fellowship will be served at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly following the graveside services.

Robert Lee Rosberg was born on Sept. 7, 1929, in Omaha, Neb., to Hjalmer and Alva (Johanson) Rosberg. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, Neb., and spent four years in the U.S. Navy. On April 20, 1952, he was united in marriage to Velma Nath in Everly. He worked at the COOP in Everly and as an elevator manager in Halbur and Postville, before retiring at the age of 55. After short periods of time in California and Arizona, they moved to Montevideo in 1986. He worked for a four county area and the State of Minnesota as a weed/seed and feed inspector and an anhydrous inspector. Robert was a member of the VFW and American Legion and had been a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Elmer and Leroy Rosberg; a sister, Irene Thompson; and by a sister, Arlene Rosberg in infancy.

He was currently a resident at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.

Robert is survived by his wife, Velma; three daughters: Nancy Quarry and her husband, Robert of Bethlehem, Pa., Rhonda Derezinski of Bloomington, Minn., and Connie Johnson and her husband, David of Eagan, Minn.; four grandchildren; two brothers: Russell Rosberg and wife, Sandy of Omaha, Neb., and Dean Rosberg and wife, Clarine of Hastings, Neb.; a sister, Betty Nielsen and husband, Larry of Yankton, S.D.; two sisters-in-law: Irma and Sharon Rosberg of Omaha, Neb.

Warner Funeral Home of Everly is in charge of arrangements.
