Twelve students from the Advanced Metals class at Spencer High School were invited to compete at the Iowa Central Community College Industrial Technology Skills Competitions on April 16. They were Jay Devries, Bryan Ibsen, Travis Langholz, Evan Quail, Logan Rohwer, Victor VanPelt, Austin Crone, Adam DeLoss, Tom Hagedorn, Tyler Sikora, Jacob Stricker, and Kevin Whalen. In manufacturing technology; Kevin Whalen and Jay DeVries placed first and second, respectively, in mill operations. Tyler Sikora placed first in lathe operations.
