June Employers' Council to focus on ESGR
The June 11 Employers' Council Meeting will be "Employer Support of Guard and Reserve" (ESGR) which will deal with topics timely and relevant to the area. This meeting is free to the public-the time is from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and there is no cost for the meal served (free) or program. The topic will center on how area businesses can help veterans returning from the war transition back into society. There are speakers and resources available, free of charge, to area employers regarding these topics. Since there are units returning to the Estherville area this summer, this topic is especially timely. Also, if anyone would like to attend the free Employee Assistance Program and the "Hiring Veterans" Program we will have on April 16, 9 a.m. at Iowa Lakes Community College in Spencer, please call as well. That program is also free with free coffee/rolls.
* Please register by calling 262-1971 ext 126. Registration deadline will be June 6, Robert.becker@iwd.iowa.gov.
