George G. Trimble

George G. Trimble, 86, of Alta, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2008, at the Alta United Methodist Church with Pastor Terry Pollard officiating.

Burial was at in the Memorial Park Cemetery of Fort Dodge.

George G. Trimble was born on Dec. 2, 1921, in Carthage, Mo. to Alva Woods and Ella (Bustrin) Trimble. He graduated from Lohrville High School in 1940.

George was married to Marguerite Ellen Hager of Ft. Dodge on March 4, 1943. Marguerite died on April 9, 1981. George farmed north of Linn Grove until he retired and moved to Alta in 1984. George married Ila (Kay) James on June 8, 1985. Ila died on Aug. 26, 2005.

George was a 4-H leader, an elder at Riverside Presbyterian Church of Linn Grove, Director of the Board on REC, and drove a truck for Wetherell's of Peterson and Mellowdent of Alta.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Ella Trimble; his wives: Marguerite and Ila; and a brother, Max Fries.

George is survived by his brothers: Frank Trimble and wife, Jeanette Trimble of Storm Lake, and Carol Fries and wife, Linda of Peterson..
