* Alma Celeste Santos-Diaz, 18, Spencer, was charged with two counts of forgery at 6:48 p.m. Monday, April 21, in the 200 block of 11th Street Southwest. She was processed and turned over to a Clay County Jailer.
* Brian Bucholtz, 49, Spencer, was charged with operating while intoxicated at 9:19 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Highway Boulevard. He was processed and placed in the Clay County Jail.
* Jake Fletcher, 36, Spencer was charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated at 12:25 a.m. Sunday near the southeast edge of Spencer. A Clay County deputy noticed a car on 370th Street near 225th Avenue with its lights off. When the deputy pulled up Fletcher exited the car from the driver's seat. He was arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail where he was held on $1,000 bond. He was also cited for having an open container in a vehicle.
* Sammie Lee Minniefield Jr., 42, Spencer, was charged with driving while barred at 11:13 p.m. Friday near the intersection of West 11th Street and Eighth Avenue West in Spencer. Minniefield also was cited for driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor and simple misdemeanor charges of no proof of insurance, operating a non-registered vehicle and improper use of registration plates. He was held in jail to appear before a magistrate.
* Daniel Paul Griffin, 40, Spencer was charged with driving while revoked at 5:58 a.m. Friday near 10th Avenue East and East 17th Street in Spencer. He was also cited for no proof of insurance, and driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway. He was held in jail to appear before a magistrate.
* Scot Timothy Matthews, 32, Terril, was taken in on a Clay County warrant for fifth-degree theft Saturday in Fostoria. He posted bond and was released.
ACCIDENTS
* Two cars were backing out of parking spaces at 4:49 p.m. Friday near the J.C. Penney parking lot when they collided. Erin Marie Carroll, 18, Spencer, was about to pull forward when her 1994 Oldsmobile was struck by a 1998 Dodge driven by Chelsea Catherine Kirchner, 20 Estherville. The Dodge sustained $1,000. The Oldsmobile sustained $1,200 damage.
* A 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier parked near the Oasis tavern in Spencer sustained $1,000 damage in a hit-and-run. The incident was reported at 2:01 a.m. Officers said a truck likely caused the damage.
