Services for Mrs. Bonnie Jean Stoermer, 83, of Dickens, were held Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Julie McCullough officiated the service.

Interment took place at Garfield Cemetery in Webb.

Bonnie passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, at Spencer Hospital.

Bonnie Jean Stoermer, the daughter of Paul and Jessie (Gowen) Bowers, was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Webb. Her childhood years were spent in Webb, where she received her education, graduating from Webb High School. She later attended Des Moines Business College.

Bonnie married Joy Stoermer on April 18, 1944, in Jackson, Minn. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm near Dickens, where they raised her family. She was a member of the Dickens Methodist Church and was an active member of the UMW.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joy on Nov. 24, 2002; one daughter, Carolyn Stoermer; and an infant brother, Raymond Bowers.

Bonnie is survived by her children: Anne Baca and husband, Jerry of Limon, Colo., Joy Jeanne Stoermer of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Larry Stoermer and wife, Vicki of Byers, Colo., Kathy Peterson and husband, Dan of Dickens, Steve Stoermer and wife, Sue Ann of Dickens, and Susan Jayme and husband, Ed of Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Verne Bowers and his wife, Arleen Centerville, Ohio.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
