Robert L. Roland, 75, passed away April 14, 2008, in Tyler, Texas.
Robert L. Roland of Spiro, Oklahoma, was born Sept. 21, 1932, in Dickens, to George Glendon and Violet Roland.
He was a member of the Spiro Methodist Church and an Army veteran, a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 4884 of Spiro, the D.A.V., American Legion No. 222 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3860.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Roland; and a sister, Virginia Roland.
Robert is survived by his wife, Reba; one daughter, Debra Permenter of Spiro, Okla.; three sons: Rodney L. Roland of Fort Smith Ark., Dale R. Roland of South Dakota, and William D. Roland of Mulberry Ark.; five sisters: Vivian Fread and husband, Kenneth of Ruthven, Darlene Nissen of Ruthven, Betty Cuklanz of Terril, Mary Mingus and husband, Richard Mingus of Spencer, and Helen Enderson and husband, Alan of Spencer; two brothers: Donald Roland and wife, Jean of Sac City, and Dean Roland and wife, Sharon of Spencer; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
