Graveside services for Mr. Casey Curry, 57, of Lake Park, will be held at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Dickens Cemetery in Dickens. Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate the service.

There will be no visitation.

Interment will take place at Dickens Cemetery.

Lunch will be served following the services at the VFW Hall in Spencer.

Casey passed away Friday, April 11, 2008, at Spencer Hospital.

Casey Stephen Curry, the son of Earl and Effie (Taylor) Curry, was born Oct. 6, 1950, in Spirit Lake. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his education. His family later moved to an acreage near Everly, where he continued his education, graduating from Everly High School in 1969. During his high school years, Casey worked at the 20th Century Bowling Alley in Spencer.

During his adult years, Casey worked at Henningsen Steel and the Spencer Packing Plant. His family moved to Oregon in 1979, where he worked at Kodiak Wood Stove and St. Paul Packing Plant. He moved back to Spencer in the early 1990's and worked for Stylecraft in Milford, until his health forced him into early retirement. In his later years, he moved to Lake Park, where he had resided until the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Jane Eglund.

Casey is survived by his parents, Earl and Effie Curry of Spencer; and three sisters: Judy Saling and her husband, Dick of Coos Bay, Ore., Becky Curry of Baker City, Oreg., and Peggy Curry and her fiancÚ, Steve Cizek of Dickens.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
