Services for Mason Dible, 18, were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Spirit Lake. Rev. Phill Andreasen officiated the service.

Interment took place at Spirit Lake Memorial Gardens.

Mason passed away on April 10, 2008, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Mason Jeffrey Dible was born Jan. 29, 1990, in Sioux City, the son of Jeffrey and Jody (Walker) Dible. He attended school in Sioux City, Spirit Lake and was currently a senior at Okoboji High School. Mason was the captain of the basketball team, playing three years on the varsity team as well as two years on the varsity golf team. In his junior year, he was named to the second team all conference golf team and also two years as state Deca champion which earned him a trip to the National Deca competition his junior and senior year. Mason was also active in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Dible; grandmother, Lucille Walker; grandfather, William T. Dible; and his uncle, Jim Dible.

Mason is survived by his mother, Jody Dixon and step-father, Larry Dixon; sister, Jessica Simpson and brother-in-law, Dwayne of Chicago, Ill.; brothers: Max and Willie Dible of Iowa City; and sister, Emma Dible of Spirit Lake.
