Robyn Thomsen and Shawn McGrath

Robyn Anne Thomsen and Shawn Patrick McGrath were united in marriage Sept. 29, 2007, at Bethany Lutheran Church of Spencer. Pastor Scott Meier officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and LuAnn Thomsen of Spencer and the groom is the son of Neal and Kay McGrath of Norfolk, Neb.

Maid of honor was April Marx, sister of the bride. Flower girls were Taylor Lawless and Mckenzie Heikens, both cousins of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tara Thomsen, sister-in-law of the bride and Angie Moss, friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Shelby Williamson, friend of the bride.

Best man was Neal McGrath Jr., brother of the groom. Ringbearer was Nathan McGrath, nephew of the groom. Groomsmen were David Thomsen, brother of the bride and Jason Gaines, cousin of the groom. Junior groomsman was Kasey Crumbliss, nephew of the groom.

Ushers were Joey Loring, Daniel Wegener, Landon Olson and Christian Bessmer. Robyn is currently employed by Midwest Laboratories, Inc. in Omaha, Neb. as a lab analyst. Shawn is currently employed by Tighton Tools in Omaha, Neb. as a Web content editor.

Following the wedding, a barn dance was held on the Thomsen family farm in Spencer. The couple have made their home in Omaha, Neb.
