Gladys Lehmann, 99, of Sutherland, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 14, 2008 at Waterman Cemetery in Sutherland. Danny Salter will officiate the 2 p.m. service., with visitation to begin one hour prior to services at the Warner Funeral Home in Sutherland.

Casket bearers will include Daniel Schubert and Gregory Schubert.

Gladys Lehmann, the daughter of George and Mathilda Johnson, was born May 16, 1908 in Chicago, Ill. She graduated from college with honors and was an accomplished pianist.

In 1929 she married Joseph Lehmann and was a homemaker before returning to work for several companies in Chicago.

Mrs. Lehmann was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and a brother. She is survived by two daughters: Joan Peterson of Port Austin, Mich., Lorraine and Donald Schubert of Sutherland; son Richard Lehmann of Port Austin, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
