Funeral services for Mr. Clemet Clausen, 63, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Spencer, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2008, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Milford. Rev. Kenneth A. Seifried will officiate the service.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to the services at the chapel.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery of Spencer.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday by Glen Pedersen Post No. 1 American Legion of Spencer.

Clemet passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at the VA Hospital of Phoenix, Ariz.

Clement James Clausen, the son of Homer and Lucille Brown, was born June 17, 1944, in Spencer. He attended grade school at Sacred Heart Elementary School and later graduated from Spencer High School. Clem entered the military and served with the U.S. Army during Viet Nam.

On March 25, 1977, he was united in marriage to Jan Maiden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Homer Clausen; a sister, Valerie Ketelsen; and two nephews: Tony and Chris Ketelsen.

Clemet is survived by one son, Adam Clausen and his wife, Jenny of Milford, Iowa; a sister, Barb Liebentritt and her husband, Art of Columbus, Neb.; a sister, Kathy VanOrsow and her husband, Tom VanOrsow of Fort Dodge; two grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Ted Ketelsen of Spirit Lake; and his longtime companion, Karen Rutchik of Mesa, Ariz.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
